Sealed Private Pressing Out Of Atlanta. Abner Jay Was A One Man Band Active From The Mid-1920’s Until His Death In The Early 90’s. He Toured Around The South Performing In A Some Sort Of Home-Made Log Cabin/Trailer/Stage Thing And Selling Self Produced Records On His Own “Brandie” Record Label. He Simultaneously Played The Drums, Electric 6-String Banjo, Harmonica, And Sang. His Music Was An Impossible To Explain Mixture Of American Folk Songs, Strange Jokes, And Religious Hymns. He Had The Deepest Voice That You Ever Did Hear, Allegedly From Drinking So Much Swanee River Water. Jay’s Music Has Been Known To Drive People Crazy, Make Them Act Like 6 Year Olds, And Sour Lifelong Friendships.... more details
