Released in December 1983, "Heaven Is Waiting" is the second studio album by The Danse Society, a British band known for their contribution to the post-punk and gothic rock movements of the early 1980s. The album followed their well-received debut "Seduction," and reflected a shift toward a more polished and atmospheric sound. Produced by Kingbird with engineering by Phil Tennant and Alan Moulder, "Heaven Is Waiting" contained the band's best-known single "Heaven Is Waiting" and a cover of The Rolling Stones' "2000 Light Years from Home." The album reached number 39 on the UK Albums Chart, marking their highest commercial achievement. more
