1981 Original With Custom Inner Sleeve. Back Cover Crease. "Over The Course Of Their First Three Late-'70s Albums, Foreigner Had Firmly Established Themselves (Along With Journey And Styx) As One Of The Top Aor Bands Of The Era. But The Band Was Still Looking For That Grand Slam Of A Record That Would Push Them To The Very Top Of The Heap. Released In 1981, 4 Would Be That Album. In Producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange -- Fresh Off His Massive Success With Ac/dc's Back In Black -- Guitarist And All-around Mastermind Mick Jones Found Both The Catalyst To Achieve This And His Perfect Musical Soulmate. Lange's Legendary Obsessive Attention To Detail And Jones' Highly Disciplined Guitar Heroics (Which He Never Allowed To Get In The Way Of A Great Song) Resulted In A Collaboration Of Unprecedented, Sparkling Efficiency Where Not A Single Note Is Wasted. "Nightlife" Is Only The First In A Series ("Woman In Black," "Don't Let Go," The '50s-tinged "Luanne") Of Energetic, Nearly Flawless Melodic Rockers, And With "Juke Box Hero," The Band Somehow Managed To Create Both A Mainstream Hit Single And A Highly Unique-sounding Track, Alternating Heavy Metal Guitar Riffing, Chorused Vocals, And One Of The Ultimate "Wanna Be A Rock Star" Lyrics. As For The Mandatory Power Ballad, The Band Also Reached Unparalleled Heights With "Waiting For A Girl Like You." One Of The Decade's Most Successful Cross-genre Tearjerkers, It Has Since Become A Staple Of Soft Rock Radio And Completely Eclipsed The Album's Other Very Lovely Ballad, "Girl On The Moon," In The Process. And Last But Not Least, The Surprisingly Funky "Urgent" Proved To Be One Of The Band's Most Memorable And Uncharacteristic Smash Hits, Thanks To Junior Walker's Signature Saxophone Solo. Through It All, Vocalist Lou Gramm Does His Part, Delivering A Dazzling Performance That Confirmed His Status As One Of The Finest Voices Of His Generation. Three Years Later, Foreigner Would Achieve Even Greater Success On A Pop Level With The Uneven Agent Provocateur, But By Then Jones And Gramm Were Locked In An Escalating War Of Egos That Would Soon Lead To The Band's Demise. All Things Considered, 4 Remains Foreigner's Career Peak." All Music Guide - Eduardo Rivadavia.

Can't Slow Down
New - LP - 524677
Sealed 2009 2LP Gatefold Original. First Release By Foreigner In 15 Years. “Taking A Cue From The Eagles, Foreigner Decided To Release Their First Album In 15 Years, Creating A Package That Touches Upon All Phases Of Their Past And Into The Present On The Three-Disc Can't Slow Down. The First Disc Is A Brand-New Studio Recording, The First To Feature Their New Lead Vocalist Kelly Hansen, Who Joined In 2005, Replacing Lou Gramm's Replacement. The Second Is A Collection Of Classic Hits Remixed By Anthony Focx And Marti Frederiksen -- The Latter Produced The Bulk Of The New Album With Mick Jones, Who Is The Only Remaining Original Member Of The Band -- While The Third Disc Is A DVD Of Live Performances From 2009, Expanded With Footage From The Making Of The Album. The DVD Is Certainly For Hardcore Fans Only, And The Same Argument Could Be Leveled Against The Remix Disc, Since Only Those Intimately Familiar With The Originals Could Spot How These Differ (Generally, They May Be Punchier But They're Not Far Removed From The Originals). Then Again, Since These Remixes Aren't Much Different Than The Originals, They're Ideal For The General Customer Who Picks This Up As An Enhanced Greatest-Hits Collection: They Sound Like The Versions They Remember From The Radio, And The Rest Of Can't Slow Down Sounds Like It Could Have Been A Hit In The Late '80s, Appearing As The Sequel To 1987's Inside Information. Hansen Sounds Uncannily Like Gramm, To The Point That Any Casual Fan Could Mistake Him For His Predecessor, And The Songs Are Good, Tight Arena Rock, Whether They're Fist-Pumping Anthems Like The Title Track And "Give Me A Sign" Or Power Ballads Like "When It Comes To Love" And "As Long As I Live." Nothing Here Is Hip Or Will Convert Skeptics, But Everything Here Will Satisfy Fans Who Have Been Waiting Years For New Music From Foreigner.” Stephen Thomas Erlewine, AMG.

"Foreigner Promptly Followed Up Its Blockbuster Debut With The Equally Successful Double Vision Lp In 1978, Which Featured The Fm Mega-hits "Hot Blooded" And The Driving Title Track. Opting Not To Mess With A Good Formula, The Band Wisely Sticks To The Polished Hard Rock Sound That Made Its First Record Such A Hit. Aside From The Big Singles, Other Highlights Include The Swaggering "Love Has Taken Its Toll" And The More Restrained "Blue Morning, Blue Day." As Always, Lou Gramm's Impeccable Rock Vocals Lead The Way, Supported By Mick Jones' Tasteful, Arena-sized Guitar Riffs." AMG Review By Andy Hinds.

The album features the classic lineup of the band consisting of Lou Gramm on vocals, Mick Jones on guitar, Ian McDonald on keyboards and guitar, Al Greenwood on keyboards, Ed Gagliardi on bass, and Dennis Elliott on drums.

2010 Non-Numbered, Limited Edition 180gm HQ Half-Speed Master.
"Foreigner" is the self-titled debut studio album by the British-American rock band Foreigner. It was released on March 8, 1977, by Atlantic Records. The album was produced by John Sinclair and Gary Lyons.
The band was formed in 1976 by Mick Jones, Ian McDonald, and Lou Gramm. "Foreigner" was recorded at the Criteria Studios in Miami, Florida, and it took them only six weeks to complete. The album was a commercial success, reaching No. 4 on the US Billboard 200 chart and selling over five million copies in the US alone.
The album's lead single, "Feels Like the First Time," became a Top 10 hit, peaking at No. 4 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. The second single, "Cold as Ice," also became a hit, reaching No. 6 on the same chart.
"Foreigner" received positive reviews from music critics upon its release, with many praising the band's songwriting and vocals. The album has since been certified 5x Platinum in the US and has been included in several "Greatest Albums" lists.
The success of "Foreigner" helped launch the band's career and established their reputation as a top rock band of the late 1970s and early 1980s. They went on to release several more successful albums and continue to tour and perform to this day.

Foreigner
Used - LP - SD 19109
1977 club pressing still in shrink, complete with the original custom printed inner sleeve. CRC printed on the back cover and on the label in lowercase. Glossy, VG++/NM-- vinyl. Top copy! "Although punk rock's furious revolution threatened to overthrow rock's old guard in 1977, bands like Foreigner came along and proved that there was plenty of room in the marketplace for both the violent, upstart minimalism of punk and the airbrushed slickness of what would be called "arena rock." Along with Boston, Journey, Heart, and others, Foreigner celebrated professionalism over raw emotion. And, looking back, it's easy to see why they sold millions; not everyone in the world was pissed off, dissatisfied with the economy, or even necessarily looking for a change. In fact, for most suburban American teens, Foreigner's immaculate rock sound was the perfect soundtrack for cruising through well-manicured neighborhoods in their Chevy Novas. The album spawned some of the biggest FM hits of 1977, including the anthemic "Feels Like the First Time" and "Cold as Ice," both of which were anchored -- like most of Foreigner's songs -- by the muscular but traditional riffing of guitarist Mick Jones, the soaring vocals of Lou Gramm, and the state-of-the-art rock production values of the day, which allowed the band to sound hard but polished. As pure rock craftsmanship goes, Foreigner was as good as it got in the late '70s." All Music Guide - Andy Hinds
