	Gentle People Used Import - Rash 6002 Rare 1972 private label Import in four-part textured multifold cover. Strong NM- Copy. No string. The band formed in 1968 in Zambia, but by the time they had their SA chart hits, they had relocated to South Africa and it was only Graham Boyle from the original line up who was left. Gentle People was taken from a line in Scott McKenzie’s hit ‘If You’re Going To San Francisco’. They got there big break when they landed a residency at Johannesburg’s Club Tomorrow. The club manager recommended the band to Dan Hill who invited them into the studio to play on a compilation album (possibly one of the Springbok Hit Parade albums). While in the studio, they recorded ‘Rain, Rain, Rain’, which would become their first SA chart hit. When the band broke up, one of the members, Kevin Mason, would join Lincoln (post their SA chart hits) and that band would eventually morph into Bite. more
