I Could Be Happy
Used - Vinyl - 4R9-02840
1981 Original in shrink. Released in December 1982, "Pinky Blue" is the second studio album by Scottish new wave band Altered Images. Following the success of their debut, the band worked with producer Martin Rushent, who had recently achieved acclaim with The Human League’s "Dare." The album marked a noticeable shift from the band’s post-punk roots toward a brighter, more polished pop sound, best exemplified by catchy singles such as "I Could Be Happy," which reached the UK top ten. The album's production leaned heavily into the synthesizer-driven trends of early 1980s pop, blending Clare Grogan’s distinctive vocals with infectious hooks and danceable rhythms.
