Americana
New - Vinyl - 9 25500-1
Sealed 1987 RCA club pressing. “A Long Line of Love” anchors the album—Murphey’s only No. 1 country hit, built on a straightforward acoustic arrangement with light string backing and a clean, radio-focused mix. Production from Jim Ed Norman keeps things restrained—traditional song structures, minimal studio gloss, and a steady emphasis on melody and vocal clarity from Michael Martin Murphey. more
Blue Sky · Night Thunder
Used - Vinyl - KE 33290
1975 US original, still in shrink with original inner sleeve. NM- copy. "Blue Sky - Night Thunder is one of the great albums completed by cowboy singer Michael Martin Murphey in the '70s, when he was simply known as Michael Murphey and his career was just beginning. He wrote or co-wrote every song on this recording. Fans will find many of their old favorites on this gold album, including his big hit "Carolina in the Pines" and maybe his most popular song of all time, "Wildfire." This album originally appeared on the market in 1975, but was re-released on compact disc in 1990. Murphey first drew plenty of public attention as a songwriter, and earned a name for himself writing songs for country singer Kenny Rogers. Murphey was soon rubbing elbows with artists like John Denver and Willie Nelson. Listeners will spot the influences of many singers on Blue Sky - Night Thunder, but that doesn't cover the sound and talent of the main man behind each song, Michael Martin Murphey." Cosmic Cowboy Souvenir
Used - Vinyl - SP-4388
1973 Gatefold Original. “Revealing Michael Martin Murphey's Philosophical Tendencies As Well As His Preference To Drift Into Deep, Thoughtful Songs, Cosmic Cowboy Souvenir Addresses The Type Of Artist That Murphey Truly Is. The Material On Cosmic Cowboy Souvenir Is Borderline Romantic, But The Album Doesn't Get Too Convoluted, Too Intricate, Or Too Commercial Sounding, And It Manages To Keep Its Simplicity And Rustic Charm Intact. Tracks Like "Cosmic Cowboy, Pt. 1," "Alleys Of Austin," And The Beautiful "South Canadian River Song" Blend A Certain Amount Of Guilelessness With Murphey's Own Brand Of Urban Poignancy, Laying Claim To Murphey's Trademark As A "Non-Traditional" Country Music Artist. The Songs Emerge As Wholesome And Wonderfully Unceremonious, Cashing In On Murphey's Unconfined Image And Using It To Give His Material Its Wandering, Nomadic Quality In Both The Lyrics And The Wide Variety Of String Work. Even Cuts Like "Prometheus Busted" And "Drunken Lady Of The Morning" Keep The Album's Unbounded Feel From Sounding Conventional Or Overindulgent Without Much Effort. Although It Spawned No Hits, Cosmic Cowboy Souvenir Is The Album That Quietly Proclaimed Murphey As A Progressive Country Artist, Even Though The Material That Was To Follow Would Extend This Style To Even Greater Lengths.” – Mike Degagne, All Music Guide more

Geronimo's Cadillac
Used - Vinyl - SP-4358
1972 white label promo, Monarch pressing. Nice VG+ copy. Small hole punch to top right corner of gatefold jacket. Geronimo’s Cadillac rides the line between country-rock storytelling and early ’70s singer-songwriter introspection. The title track stands as Murphey’s signature statement—lyrically sharp, culturally reflective, and carried by a melody that lingers long after the needle lifts. Across the album, acoustic textures blend with electric accents, creating a sound rooted in the American West but shaped by contemporary folk-rock currents. more

Peaks Valleys Honky-Tonks & Alleys
Used - Vinyl - JE 35742
1979 US original Santa Maria pressing still in shrink. VG++ copy. "This live album heavily showcases Murphey's early work with some interesting twists. His "Cosmic Cowboy" turns into a breakdown, while his song "Another Cheap Western" is coupled with The Olympics' 1958 hit, "Wester Movies." Not a particularly memorable album it's still kind of fun."
