Not A Critically Acclaimed LP But A Decent Rockin' Blues Record. "A Full Spoon of Seedy Blues" is an album released in 1967 by the Sky Saxon Blues Band, which is a side project of Sky Saxon, the frontman of the psychedelic rock band The Seeds. Unlike the garage rock and psychedelic sounds typical of The Seeds, this album leans heavily into blues, showcasing Saxon's versatility as a musician. The album integrates a raw blues sound with a blend of electric blues and traditional blues influences, highlighting Saxon's distinctive vocal delivery. The inclusion of blues standards alongside original compositions provides a platform for Saxon to explore different vocal and musical expressions, reflecting the era's experimental approach to genre-blending. more
