In "Nothing Happens," Wallows crafts an evocative blend of nostalgic indie rock and contemporary alt-pop that resonates with both emotional depth and youthful exuberance. The album serves as a compelling debut, brimming with infectious melodies and introspective lyrics that speak to the trials and triumphs of adolescence. From the anthemic opener "Only Friend" to the introspective musings of "Scrawny," Wallows demonstrates a keen ability to capture the essence of youthful uncertainty and the desire for connection.
